John Elway on Tebow: 'We are going with Tim'

Guess no neckbeard love from elway, maybe will trade him when F/A opens? ...

John Elway on Tebow: 'We are going with Tim'

Tebow to compete with Orton, Quinn Aaron Wilson

The Denver Broncos plan to have Tim Tebow compete with Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn for the No. 1 quarterback spot.

And Tebow's presence kept the Broncos from drafting a quarterback.

"I think where we are as an organization, we are going with Tim," Elway said.

And Tebow says he's confident that the Broncos will give him a fair shot.

The former Heisman Trophy winner rushed for six touchdowns as a rookie.

"I believe in them, and they believe in me," Tebow said. "To have John Elway say positive things about you is just amazing. He's played the game at the highest level possible, and I'm excited because he's going to be a great asset for me."

A few weeks ago I was thinking about Orton going to Tennessee or Seattle.

Wouldn't suprise me,,its obvious that unless tebow lays an egg in camp/preseason going with him- So why have orton a bench warmer, if get anyone coming calling for a draft pick?. unless they get no calls, after because do think mcnabb, kolb will go before orton

FWIW just checked, orton is scheduled to make $8.87 mill in 2011, including a $1.5 mill roster bonus- so can see why they want to move on and not pay almost $9 mill for orton- that is one odd contract they gave him

Kyle OrtonQuarterback8/19/2010: Signed a two-year, $11.621 million contract. The deal contains $5.499 million guaranteed, including $2.879 million of his second-year base salary. 2011: $7.379 million (+ $1.5 million roster bonus), 2012: Free Agent

Whoever wrote this did a great job of taking Elways quote completely out of context, LOL.

We should have traded our 5th round pick to the donkeys for Kyle Orton.

5 minutes till someone takes your comment way too seriously.

Oh really 4th, explain to me how we could trade our fifth when ALL 32 TEAMS can not trade picks for players???

Bulger will be going to AZ, if McNabb goes anywhere it's the Vikings or Bengals.
