The hell it doesn't! See previous post.

Not when their thighs and saddle bags spread out like a squashed bratwurst. Evernight I've been to dozens of games there and when the cold weather comes and fans bundle up it can get real cozy on those benches. I've been at many a game where I sat between two 300 pounder and had to keep my shoulders hunched and my arms in front of me all game long and that ain't very comfortable.

Don't be offended. Like I said it's a great place to watch a game but it is not the most comfortable place to watch one that I've ever been in once the cold weather hits. Early in the season it's much less of a problem though.

that makes Zero sense... its "ok" to admit everything about the packers is not perfect.. As said "IF" benches were more comfortable and better... stadiums WOULD NOT CHANGE FROM BENCHES TO SEATS.. and new stadiums would have benches NOT SEATS.. yet ALL new stadiums are seats not benches..that is painfully obvious.. its ok to admit not all things packers are perfect

Believe it or not the punts were at least 50-100 feet below me. I left at half time vowing never to sit in that locale again. The pitch at the top was so steep that if you slipped and fell you'd have rolled down to the railing that separated them from the section below.

Lambeau Field is truly a great place to watch a game. One of the best in the NFL IMO and those rock hard cold assed benches can be made more comfortable with seat cushions or a stadium seat. Hell it was so cold sometimes that you brought your own padding in the form of snowmobile pants or deer hunting trousers. But I'll agree that you don't want to be next to someone who hasn't showered or changed clothes in a week.

I just hope they don't install a section so steep that the fans have to be strapped in or held in place by a safety bar like on a roller coaster. I'm all for increased capacity but not at the expense of comfort or safety. Don't be fools up there Evernight.

exactly soul.. just putting in obstructed views or nose bleeds, imo is not better despite than saying has more seats...think its a very delicate "balance" between 'money in pocket, aka greed" for an owner to slap more seats in a stadium because of the demand.. and giving even the "Cheapseats" a great viewing experience and comfortable, unobstructed views and not feeling vertigo in their seats or needing a pair of binoculars to see the action- which unfort many stadiums fail really bad at.

I understand the complaint about a smaller stadium with such a large demand, but also understand the "value" of good seats everywhere and great views even at the top, if keep it smaller. not sure any real 'one size fits all" answer to ideal size and how to do it.

You're both purchasing one seat but somehow they end up with a seat and a half and you end up almost sideways trying to fit yourself in between them.
LOL.. can tell you have actually been there soul.. IMO many of the people that don't think a difference= have not actually been at a game with benches, or as you and I have been stuck between them and as yo said "sideways" for teh game.. very uncomfortable!.. and after happens, you will always want seats, not benches : )

If you think the talk is bad the dreams I had about it last night were horrifying.

We've both seen games in Lambeau Field and there's no way with the way it's consructed that they could ever put in true "nosebleed" seating. No upper deck, unless they decide to add one. There aren't any obstructed views either. If it weren't for the fact that it gets colder than a well diggers ass there in late November it would be almost a perfect place to watch a game. I haven't been to the new Soldier Field yet but the old one was anything put perfect.

Can't believe that you admit to what I've been debating with you though. Whenever we debate the labor issue I keep pointing out that the owners have become greedy and that they're always trying to squeeze another nickel from the til whether it's from the players or the fans. You claim they aren't and say they need to money to continue operate profitably since franchise values are no longer going up at double digit rates annually. Yet here you talk about their greed as it relates to inconsideration for fan comfort and enjoyment.

That's been obvious to me for a long time ever since I watched the new Mile High being built and attended a game there. If you have seats on the club level or below it you've got very good seats but the seats in the upper deck are shitty. When they designed it the allowed plenty of spacious seating below but since that cut capacity a bit they crammed more seats into the upper decks and corners to make up for it. The south stands used to be very close to the field and great seating now it's at least 100 ft. farther from the field.

There were a ton of complaints from season ticket holders whose new seating was much less attractive than their old seats but the attitude of management was "you'll take it and like it or we'll sell it to someone else". And on top of that they had to pay for PSL's that were never a part of the deal before that.

I've never said that the players were completely right in their position regarding the new CBA but you always maintain that the owners aren't greedy yet here you do admit that they are as far as fan comfort is concerned. As a fan I could see your point as this affects your enjoyment of the game. A players paycheck does not. Just saying.
