New Orleans mayor left out in cold by bad Bears tickets


The New Orleans Times-Picayne reports: A New Orleans technology contractor bought suite tickets for Mayor Ray Nagin and his wife for the 2007 NFC Championship Game from the brother of Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher that turned out to be invalid, the company's executive testified in a corruption trial.

Ciber Inc. president Ed Burns said he bought the tickets from Urlacher's brother, but the tickets turned out to be from the previous year's playoff game. Nagin and his party at first were denied entrance outside a frigid Soldier Field but ultimately were allowed into a Bears' suite, where many of them had to stand throughout the game. Burns said Urlacher's brother apologized for the error.

Yeah, its a bizzare story to say the least- and maybe just wrapped up in going to Miami after the game- but do not remember anything about this, or that this happened the week after the game- and you wold think it would ahve been reported Somewhere.

What can't figure is why the younger brother of a multimillionaire, and face of the franchise is selling tickets on stub hub( or where ever he put them up for sale) , its not like Url needs the money, and more emabarrasing is having Saint fans in the your luxery box on the biggest game in your career at home.. makes no sense, and how Stupid is this guy to not notice when he got the ticket's that said Bears Vs Eagles and not Bears vs Saints.. how did he miss This? ...

bet casey has some 'splainin' to do to brian after this happened..lol

There's a lot of holes in this story that doesn't make sense. But there was more than one sucker that day...LOL!!

yep.. and just suprised , esp in the chicago media, the story never told before.. Guess nagin's private plane was enough to not want this 'trip" in the public eye..lol
