You'd have to become a University of Colorado Buffaloes fan, soulman. You don't really want to do that, do you?

I'd get shot. One of my daugters is a CSU alum and her sister will be a CSU junior this coming year. I'm a CSU Rams guy all the way but I wish they wore different colors than green and gold. Every time I go to a game I feel like I'm surrounded by Packer fans, LOL.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

So, back when Colorado was in the Big XII, did you pull for Nebraska every time the two teams played because of that? LOL

Part of the issue is the shit ass economics/over taxation in California. Who can afford to goto a game with no jobs and getting taxed just about higher then any other state. Add onto that a bad football team and you get what you get. I bet SD and SF are struggling to get sell outs also. That's why I laugh when I hear LA wants to bring in 2 NFL teams...they will struggle the same way the current teams are.
That being said, good for Al Davis, sell tickets and keep your job is a lot better then: sorry folks your gone until football is back.

Nah, the only team wearing red and white that I ever cheer for is the Badgers. Nebraska fans are a bunch of weenies. I once was a bar manager for an owner who was a Nebraska weenie and he wanted to make the place a hang out for Cornhuckster fans in the fall. When his accountant and I convinced him that he'd lose 25% of his regular business if he did that he dropped the idea.
Being a Colorado resident and rooting for Nebraska would be like living in Illinois and rooting for the Packers. Some things are just not kosher in my book.

FWIW, Nebraska hates Oklahoma more than they do Colorado. That rivalry goes back several decades. Some of the biggest games in the history of college football were played between the two.
I take that this bar you're talking about was up in Madison?

Be that as it may Buffs fans hate Nebraska more than any other rival including CSU and that one stretches back aways. But no, the bar was here in Colorado. I haven't lived in Madison since the 80's.

Sadly, Nebraska and Colorado will no longer be playing each other on a seasonal basis because of the conference realignments. Nebraska could probably schedule Oklahoma on a yearly basis if AD Tom Osborne wanted to do it, but I think they're going to be content with playing Michigan and Iowa as their two big games of the season every year. This season, Nebraska plays Ohio State in the sixth game of the year in Lincoln. That's supposed to be the game that Jim Tressel and "The Tattoo Five" come back from their suspensions. Hopefully, we will have at least a 3-2 records most likely suffering losses to Miami (FL) and Michigan State.
