Thought of adding Moss grows on Jets

Moss to Jets? Report says team interested in veteran wideout
The Jets have legitimate interest in pending free agent Randy Moss, the New York Daily News reported Monday, citing sources.
The interest makes sense, given the unsettled nature of New York's receiving corps. Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards and Brad Smith could be free agents this offseason, and it has been speculated that it will be difficult to retain the services of all three. Edwards has been vocal about wanting to stay with the team, and Holmes has said he's taking a wait-and-see attitude. Moss has the potential to give the Jets and third-year quarterback Mark Sanchez a fearsome vertical threat. The 34-year-old is one of the most prolific wide receivers in NFL history, but he's also coming off a tumultuous season in which he played for three teams (New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans) and caught a career-low 28 passes. Moss is part of what might be a crowded free-agent field of veteran receivers, with others expected to be available via trade. The glut in the market could allow the Jets or another team to obtain the future Hall of Famer at a discount rate. Antonio Cromartie, another Jets free agent seeking a long-term deal, would welcome the sight of Moss in green and white. "I would love to have Randy Moss on Jets," Cromartie tweeted Monday morning. "Much respect. Great vertical guy who has a lot left in the tank." Holmes would be a great addition for the Bears. Well, he's not exactly the 6'4'' type WR we want, but he's definitely a #1 receiver. It's gotta be Santonio Holmes or Malcom Floyd. What do you think?

I would rather have randy moss.

The trouble with Moss though is that he's strictly a downfield deep threat kind of guy. Don't ever ask him to go over the middle because he'll flat out refuse. I'd take a look at Plax Burress before I'd get serious about Moss. Santonio Holmes is intriuging though. Not the size we'd like but he's the kind of guy who would thrive in a Mike Martz system. The situation is worth keeping an eye on.

I like Bennett over any of the guys mentioned. we have speed to stretch the field, Bennett isn't quick but he's realiable and WILL go over the middle without hesitation.
I'd like to see lady luck send Sidney Rice our way, but I don't think all the rabbit's feet in the world could make that happen.

I could go for a case of being shit-faced drunk right now. Unfortunately my medication doesn't allow for such luxuries. But I'll gladly sneak behind everyone's backs and have a beer. lol

Moss will play with whoever is stupid enough to fork over the money to acquire him.
