There are some rumors out there that Carolina may be interested in signing Favre to mentor Cam Newton. I don't really buy this though. Lord Favre has never shown an interest in doing that before and I can't see any reason why he'd be willing to play backup for a couple of mil per year. He doesn't need the money and if he's not gonna play there's no glory either. Makes no sense for him to do it.

He might sign just for the simple fact that it keeps attention on him and the media will all fawn all over him because he's mentoring Newton and forget the fact that he refused to do the same for Rodgers. He may not need money, but he's got an ego to feed.
