Good fit or not no team, including the Bears and the Broncos, will ever win a championship with Kyle Orton as their QB. Since both the Bears and the Broncos aspire to be championship teams for that reason alone Orton is not a fit. He'd be perfect in Arizona where for the most part they'd be happy to just win consistently. That Kyle Orton can do fairly well but they'll never see another Super Bowl as long as he's their starter. It is what it is.

That is flat false, QB's are not the sole judgement of a SB team; There have been average qb's to win one; it's just a lot less lilkely.

While what you say may be true in general (evidence Trent Dildo) I'll stand by my opinion regarding Orton. No team that he QB's will ever even be in a Super Bowl let alone win one. He's too easy to defense and just hasn't got the stuff IMO. I'll bet you 10,000 Bears Bucks on it.

One thing that Tebow has in his favor as a passer is that he has an absolute cannon for an arm. Kyle Orton does not, and that's what hurts him. If John Fox were to open up the passing game and have Tebow throw a lot of deep vertical passes, Orton will not stand a chance because he just doesn't have the arm strength or the accuracy at that range. If Tebow can get his completion percentage up to about 60-62% and can complete those deep passes, Orton will be traded.

You don't need a cannon for an arm to be successful, you just have to not be a retard. Don't attempt passes you know you're not capable of attempting and make smart decisions with the football. Most of the qbs with a "cannon arm" are the same ones that end the season high on the INT totals because they think they can force the ball anywhere they want.

When the hell did Tebow acquire a cannon for an arm? He sure didn't have one in college and he didn't have one last season.

I'm not saying he will either, trent's not the only one either, guy from TB(cannot think of his name right now) Big Ben's first SB etc. It's more common then you think. Mid range qb's need great D's and running games to protect them. AZ doesn't have those. I could bet 10K bear bucks that 20 qb's in this league will never win a SB; it's that hard to do. So far this past decade it's been what, 4 or 5 qb's that have one one?

I wasn't expecting you to match the bet. That wouldn't be right since very few guys whose names aren't Brady, Manning, Rodgers or Rothelisberger do. It would be all on me if he ever did. Behind a defense like the 85 Bears, the Black and Bruise Bros. Oline and with Walter Payton as his RB, yeah he could do it. Lacking that though he doesn't stand a chance, LOL.
It's not that I dislike Orton and I'd take him over a dozen other QB's in the league in a NY minute but I just don't think he'll ever have what it takes to propel a team through the playoffs and into a SB. I don't think the Broncos do either which is why they'd just as soon dump him for a 2nd round pick. He'll be one of those guys that will quietly have a nice productive career and hang around the league for 15 years or so but never be considered a big time passer. JMO.

I don't disagree. Look at my past statements, he's a mid range qb you take when you don't have that franchise guy. He'll get your team some wins, he's likable, and a hard worker/leader. But the talent level just isn't there to be a franchise qb. And I also don't think he'll win a SB, don't get me worng, but It has to be w/a team that has a top 5 D and a top 5 running game(don't think it has to be the best ever). It's a team that says we will win punching you in the face, and this guy back here is going to not F it up for us.
