The Arizona Cardinals have plenty to offer a new quarterback.
That’s one of the things Ken Whisenhunt has said this offseason after the club passed on drafting a quarterback in April. Arizona is in the market for a quarterback when the new league year begins, and it sounds like the Cardinals are preparing to offer plenty for a new quarterback.
Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910 in Phoenix reports that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb is the passer the Cardinals are poised to pursue. Per Jurecki, the Cardinals are prepared to offer cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie “straight up” for Kolb. Jurecki cites a “source” in his report, and the Eagles are believed to be seeking help at cornerback.
Giving up Rodgers-Cromartie in a trade doesn’t help the Cardinals on defense at all, but they’re going to have to pay if they want Kolb.
