The key word in that initial article is allege. The players can allege anything they like but they still have to prove it by a preponderance of the evidence. Based on what you're saying they may never be able to prove that but they may get enough mileage out of the possiblity that they can to get a quick settlement and that's all the attorneys are looking for really.
