We had speculated for about a month now that sometime by the early to mid part of July, a deal would be struck. Now, we're in late July, and nothing has been accomplished yet other than a vote by the owners ratifying their draft of the CBA. The players are now dragging their feet in getting together to read the owners copy. What could the players possibly disagree in principle over when they've had representatives for the past several weeks working side-by-side with the owners on hammering out this agreement, as well as the their own team of lawyers and legal representation? That's just crazy and asinine to think about.
