I would have paid that if I was the Bears and played him at either LT or RT, that seems incredibly cheap for a young stud LT.
You may have but the Bears wouldn't have put that much into another OT. Besides, I said that the Cowboys wouldn't let him go and I was right.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Apparently the Bucs and Cowboys are bidding on Doug Free and Minnesota and Seattle are going back and forth for Sidney Rice.
I would rank the remaining free agent OGs that we have been discussing in the following order,
1. Davin Joseph
2. Harvey Dahl
3. Justin Blalock
But any and all would be big upgrades, I know Blalock does not have the longest resume, but Chris Williams has exactly 1 good NFL game let alone a season.
I'd say that's about right Windy but I'd prefer Dahl to Joseph that's all. Blalock I'm not all that excited about because I still think we need to sign a RG and if CWill can't hack it move Garza into the spot until we can find another young OG.

Santonio Holmes agreed to a five-year deal with the New York Jets. The deal is for five years and $50 million, with $24 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. It's one of the biggest guarantees ever given to a wide receiver. wow

Texans have agreed to contract with QB Matt Leinart.
Huh? Thought he was going to Seattle?
Matt Leinart's contract with Houston is a two-year, $5.5 million deal that includes $3.75 million in guaranteed money

People are talking about Kevin Kolb, Kyle Orton, Carson Palmer, Donovan McNabb, etc. What happened to Vince Young? Does anyone have an idea where he could end up? My prediction was Washington...

Geez Windy I may have to eat crow on this since it's been reported that the Bears are looking into offering Jermon Bushrod a deal.

Take another WR off the board Seahawks sign Sidney Rice: http://goo.gl/atTdh
Here are WR Sidney Rice's numbers with Seattle: five years up to $44 million including $18.5 million guaranteed.
And Steve Breaston gone too apparently to KC: http://goo.gl/mipDW
Has agreed to a 5-year deal that includes $9 million guaranteed.

One thing of note is the price that a top free agent is going for these days whether signing with his own team or another. We know in some cases that some of that money will never be paid out but most of these deal have anywhere from 50% to 65% of the contract guaranteed.
WR Santana Moss/5yrs @ $50 mil
LT Doug Free/4yrs @ $32 mil
LB Paul Posluszny/6yrs @ $45 mil
NT Barry Colfield/6yrs @ $36 mil
DE Charles Johnson/6yrs @ $72 mil
RB DeAngelo Williams/5yrs @ $43 mil
FS Eric Weddle/5yrs @ $40 mil
PK Olindo Mare/4yrs @ $12 mil
PK Ryan Longwell/4yrs @ $12 mil
PK Mason Crosby/5yrs @ $14.75 mil

Rice made bank for a guy with questionable health, especially when they have horrible qbs. At least he'll be able to play with T-Jack again!
