Never understood the reluctance on the part of the Bears to sign a #1 receiver. Not that Moss is a #1 anymore - but Ochocinco is - and the Bears didn't even seem to make an attempt. Obviously, the ship has sailed on Ochocinco. IMHO, Moss would give Chicago some additional depth at a very lean position.
Based on the reports so far from camp we don't need the depth. Hester has been catching eveything thrown his way, the new CowBears have looked good, and the UDFA, Sanzenbacher, is tearing it up in the slot. Now throw in a beefed up Johnny Knox and Mr. Dependable, Earl Bennett, and this is probably the best WR crew we've had in memory.
With his attitude Moss would never make it in Chicago and now he's well past his prime anyway. I thought we might look at Ocho but the Pats beat us to him. Not that big a deal though. If we wanted bigger guys he wasn't the one to go after anyway. I think we'll do ok with RWill and Hurd as vet additions.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
