Randy Moss Retires................
Somewhat of a surprise but I really think he's finally worn out his NFL welcome .

Randy Moss announces his retirement from football
By MJD

Randy Moss(notes), one of the NFL's greatest all-time receivers, will not be back for a fourteenth season. Adam Schefter quotes Moss's agent, Joel Segal, as saying, "After weighing his options and contemplating offers, he's decided to retire."
Moss spent last year on three teams. He started with the Patriots, was traded to the Vikings, who then released him, allowing him to sign with the Titans. It wasn't a great year for Moss, but just one year before that, he was excellent, putting up 1,200 yards and 13 touchdowns in New England.
His retirement comes as a surprise. Not a shock, maybe, since last season was so disastrous, but up until just yesterday, there were rumors that the Jets were interested in his services. That fell through when the Jets signed Plaxico Burress(notes) instead, but I doubt the Jets were the only team to kick his tires. His agent's comments would seem to indicate that, too.
If this is indeed the end for Moss (and one couldn't be blamed if one thought there was a good chance Moss would change his mind at some point), he's left a permanent mark on the game. I don't know if there's anyone else's Hall of Fame enshrinement speech I'd rather see than his.
So long, Randy. You were straight cash, homey. Enjoy this video. It's actually a nice little career retrospective.

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Well that's one of the leagues bad boy wideouts down. Plax signed with the Jets and Ocho with the Pats so maybe T.O. will hang it up next.

Sure you want to do this? You're already in the hole over the Kruetz and Sims-Walker predictions.

If... yes IF... he makes the HOF, I bet Chad Ocho's is the best evah!

Dudes a sure fire HoF'er. What he did in Minny was nothing short of spectacular, and in NE got his SB ring and was part of one of the best O's in the league.
