Football! Yeah it's the good stuff.

I live in Colorado Springs, so I am a little too far away from Chicago to get to see the Bears pre-season games. A guy I used to work with before we both retired is a Bronco season ticket holder. So when he asked me if I wanted to go see the game with the Bills I told him I would love to go. He thought, and maybe still thinks I am a Bronco fan. Anyone from Chicagoland knows that once you are a Bears fan, you can never change to another team no matter how far you are from Chicago or how close you are to another football team's stadium. Besides, I wanted to see how Kyle Orton was doing. Most Bronco fans want Tebow in the number one slot regardless of his ability or lack thereof to actually take the position. At the end of last season Tebow threw one or two passes that weren't intercepted, and you would have thought he was the reincarnation of every superstar quarterback combined. all he did was come in for a few good passes. The fans here simply ignore the number of interceptions and sacks. Anyway, Orton didn't really look all that good. It's as if he never figured out that if you run away from the guys trying to tackle you you can avoid being sacked. So he stood very stiff, never scrambled, and got sacked. He didn't even get to finish the half. All of that didn't matter one bit though. I was sitting in some excellent seats in the south stands of the newest inception of Mile High, the Sports Authority Mile High Stadium. The fire that shoots up out of the scoreboard of the Jumbotron, called the Thunder something or other in Denver nearly singes the hair off your body when they score. What I'm trying to say is, I didn't care who the teams were. I didn't care that it was 90 degrees. I didn't even care that a bratwurst was $7.99. I was watching live and in person NFmfL football! Football is back again, so go get me a snack, a cold beer, and leave me the hell alone until January something.

Ahh, the glimpse into another team's fanbase. Interesting and sometimes refreshing (because you aren't so emotionally invested).

    Glad football is back too.

Yep, not when I lived in Green Bay and not since I've lived in Denver have I ever been anything else but a Bears fan and never will.
