    Vikings' Williams to have suspension reduced

    Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams could have a four-game suspension for testing positive for a banned diuretic reduced to two games, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

    Williams and teammate Pat Williams were among the NFL players who tested positive for the diuretic in StarCaps designed to mask steroid use, claimed they had no knowledge of the substance bumetanide in the weight-loss supplement they took in 2008. It was not listed on the label.

    It would be more of a punishment to the vikes to make them both come back and start the entire season. Neither of them are anywhere close to being at the top of their games and them being out there would actually make them worse. It's not even noteworthy at this point.
