Former Dallas Cowboys center Andre Gurode will visit the New England Patriots on Saturday, according to the Boston Herald.

NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported that Gurode, 32, would visit the Detroit Lions on Friday after being cut by the Cowboys on Monday.

The Cowboys cited Gurode's age and salary, along with his decision to have knee surgery so late during the offseason, in the decision to cut him, but the Herald reported multiple teams are interested in the veteran.

Adding the center would make for an interesting reunion with defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, who received a five-game suspension after kicking Gurode in the face during a 2006 game between the Cowboys and Tennessee Titans, Haynesworth's old team.

The violence occurred after the Cowboys had scored a touchdown on a Julius Jones run. With Gurode lying helmet-less on the ground, Haynesworth repeatedly kicked him above the neck. Gurode left the game with blurry vision and received stitches above his forehead and below his eye from the attack.

"I apologize to Andre," Haynesworth told The New York Times after the incident. "What I did was disgusting. It's something that should never happen. I mean, I'm not a dirty player. I don't play dirty. I have respect for the game. What I feel like is, I disgraced the game, disgraced my team and disgraced my last name." (LOL, you seem to have a knack for doing that Albert, hahaha)

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

But he signs with the Ravens.

Ravens agree to deal with C Gurode

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP)—The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a one-year deal with former Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl center Andre Gurode. The deal was announced Sunday and will become official when he passes a physical.

“We just got better as a team,” Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said.“To have a successful season, you have to have quality depth across the board. We just added great depth to the interior of our offensive line with Andre.”

Gurode was signed to play behind six-time Pro Bowl center Matt Birk, who had surgery on his left knee at the beginning of training camp. Gurode was cut by the Cowboys last week.

He visited the Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions and the New England Patriotsbefore agreeing to terms with the Ravens.
