Bleacher Report: Power Ranking All 32 NFL General Mangers
Source
Football is the ultimate team sport—you not only have to have 22 guys on each side of the ball, but you need to have an entire 53-man roster that is able to play as a team and compete successfully.
Out of all the major sports in the world, I think that we can all agree that the NFL general managers are the most critical—it's simply so difficult to build a winning football team, it's as easy as it may be in EA Sports' Madden video games.
With that being said, here is a power rankings of all the general managers in the NFL. Keep in mind that these are a rankings of how each general manager has operated with the team that they're currently with, not their past tenures.

Perfect evaluation. If there were a prize for inconsistency Angelo would win hands down. Going out and getting Cutler for a team that had been devoid of QB talent for a quarter of a century was a great play until you consider that it was born of his inability to draft one to develop.
On top of that his failure to fill in the holes around him is becoming legendary as is his willingness to give in to Mike Martz personnel requests. How he still has a job is a very good question and maybe if this year continues like it has started we can find a way and an excuse to get rid of him. That shouldn't be too hard to do.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I wonder how Ditka or even Butkus would do at GM? Just a thought....
Without weaponz it's just another airline!
I am here to chew bubble gum and kick butt and I am all out of bubble gum!

ditka the same guy that has so little hold on the draft that he traded all his picks for 1 guy? No he would not do very good. Butkus, probably not very well either.

People seem to forget that it was the tension and acrimony between Ditka and Buddy Ryan that lead to our success. Ditka gets all the attention because of his personality, but in reality, they needed each other to be successful.
I think JA should go back to his original job: defensive scout or whatever it was. I think he'd be great at that, as a GM he is fail. WE need a new GM, and new coaches. We tried the Lovie system...it doesnt work, yeah, the team respects him and they are well known for "swarming to the ball" and forcing takeaways...but Lovie can still do all that in training camps as an assistant coach. No, we need actual leadership to get this team in shape, leadership from top on down.

Nice to know that Jerry Angelo sucks at the quarter position.
