Jaguars reunion: Sims-Walker set to return to Jaguars after brief Rams stint
Fox Sports reporter and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer confirmed a Tuesday report from the Florida Times-Union that wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker is headed back to the Jacksonville Jaguars. "Back to where it all begin but as a better Player and Man," Sims-Walker said, via Twitter.
Sims-Walker, who was recently released by the St. Louis Rams, recorded 122 receptions for 1,648 yards with 14 touchdowns in three years with the Jaguars. Sims-Walker signed with the Rams this past offseason, but he was ineffective with his new squad -- 11 catches for 139 yards in four games -- and was cut after the Rams traded for wideout Brandon Lloyd. The Florida Times-Union also reported that the Jaguars placed injured tight end Zach Miller on injured reserve Tuesday. Miller had battled shoulder injuries the past couple of weeks and missed the Jaguars' season opener with a knee injury sustained during training camp. Cornerback T.J. Heath moved up from the practice squad to take Miller's place on the active roster. The Jaguars currently have two tight ends -- Marcedes Lewis and Zach Potter -- on their 53-man roster.
Nah, they made the only move they'll make when they signed RWill. Now all we can hope for is that he can repeat his performance from Sunday on a weekly basis from now on. I'll take 3 catches over the deep middle from him every week and be satisfied with that. Sunday night was the first time I saw him do what he was brought here to do.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
