Someone just kicked the piss and vinegar out of Kreutz. The man had so much fight in him. Hope he isn't super depressed or anything...

Maybe his play has diminished that much although he looked good against us or maybe he's homesick. The guy was a Bear first last and always and maybe he just didn't have the heart to finish his career elsewhere. Steve McMichael played his last season with the Packers and he says he's always regretted it. I think that maybe not retiring as a Chicago Bear bothers him too much.
I'll give him respect for not just playing out the string and just collecting a paycheck. Yeah, it may leave NO in the lurch as far as replacing him but if his heart isn't in it neither is his head and his play will reflect that. Even though Garza has done a commendable job replacing him I'd rather have had Olin's leadership for one more year. It's too bad he over valued himself as much as he did. If he had the chance I'll bet he'd do it differently.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Friend of mine lives in the Big Easy and is an insider for the Saints. He told me, "Word has it he was being demoted to 2nd string because he got hurt. Olin then got mad a the O-line coach and then called his agent and told him he wanted to quit the team."

From everything I've seen of him this year, his decline in play has continued. What a jag to just up and leave the team. I've felt the 'ooh rah' leadership talk about this guy has been way over-rated the last few years. He just can't play anymore. Personally, even with some of the continued problems with the o-line, I am glad we moved on from him. He would not have made one thing better.
