Perhaps Rodgers didn't want to learn how to throw playoff games away or cry like a baby on national TV. lol

Its business. There is no place for "a heart" in football.

If they get the first pick, I vote trade Manning. Entering his 14th year, and adding in this surgery you are playing the odds that he is just about done in the NFL.
I wonder how bad his neck is? He was playing with the bum neck just fine last season. I still lean toward the probability that he will be back, stronger than ever. Too, look at it this way, Benji: who is going to be willing to pay Manning the kind of money he will no doubt be commanding if he is traded away somewhere? Not many teams would be willing to strap themselves financially the way the Colts have done. Getting paid $18-20 million a year is a lot in any sport, let alone in one where there is a hard salary cap.

Last season, before he had another surgery. How many is that for him now? Regardless, they need to draft Luck if they get lucky enough. Let Manning train him, then when his neck is snapped when he is sacked they can put him in. And no, I am not rooting for him to get hurt, just playing the odds if he comes back.
If I were him, I would retire.

I thought he had 2 neck surgeries then went to Europe and received stem cell treatment. I think it would be a roll of the dice for a team to pop on him.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

If they get Luck, that means in all likelihood, they'll have had a Franchise QB from 1998-2025. Just like the Packers will likely have had one from 1992 - 2021. That's something to be jealous of (of course those numbers bar serious injuries and assume they play 13ish years)...

You can bet that the reason the Broncos are offering players for picks is because they want to stay in the hunt no matter what it takes. It's not exactly a waste because if they can't get Luck they'll use the picks to rebuild the defense.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

That's also barring the fact that Luck hasn't even made an NFL team yet, let alone taken a snap. He could still be the next Leaf for all we know. Lets not crown him the next Aaron Rodgers just yet.

He's already much better than Rodger without ever playing a down of NFL football. Don't you know? He's predestined to be great.

Well, he could have a bad first year, and throw 20 tds to 28 ints, but that wouldn't mean that he's gonna suck. Plus, he doesn't have the attitude problems that marred Leaf, nor the stupid throwing mechanics of Tim Tebow
