Cowher up for being a coach
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d...have-vacancies
Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has been in contact with Bill Cowher's agent about making the former Pittsburgh Steelers coach the next head coach in Miami, according to a league source.
Cowher, however, told his agent and others concerned that he absolutely will not speak with any team that does not have a head coaching vacancy.
One thing that could alter this scenario is if Ross fires Dolphins coach Tony Sparano in-season, which could well open the door for preliminary talks. Cowher doesn't plan to take any job until after the season's over.
Sparano has been under fire all season as the Dolphins have sputtered to an 0-6 start.
Cowher, currently an analyst at CBS Sports, left coaching after winning the Super Bowl in 2006. He is one of the first names to come up when people talk about any potential NFL coaching vacancy.

Keep dreaming. With a year and a half left, no chance he gets fired. Especially not with the Bears having a winning record.

The way the Dolphins season is going, I can see their HC getting fired and Cowher stepping in. Not sure he would make that big of a change there though.

I don't know about Fisher. Titans are almost in the same boat we are(as far as team performance).

That's ok he doesn't coach there anymore.

it starts at the top. Cowher, Fisher, or anyone else has to have talent to win. I don't really expect a coach that had success in the past to go anywhere and re-create magic with another franchise. SOmetimes, it all happens cause the people collectively were on the same page and equally knew what they wanted / needed and agreed on the right players. Those things don't just happen everywhere
