Players Vote NFL's Most Disliked Coaches...............

Nobody wants to play for Tom Coughlin
By MJD

The Sporting News surveyed 111 players around the NFL and asked them a series of questions at the NFL's midpoint of the season. One of those questions was, "Which coach would you least like to play for?"
Not surprisingly, the most popular answers were the mean guys. Here are your top-three vote-getters:
Tom Coughlin, New York Giants - 22
Tony Sparano, Miami Dolphins - 21
Bill Belichick, New England Patriots - 15
Pete Carroll, Todd Haley, Jim Harbaugh, Rex Ryan and Jim Schwartz were next on the list, but none of them had more than six votes. Coughlin, Sparano and Belichick are clearly the meanest teachers in the school.
My guess would've been that Sparano topped the list. Tom Coughlin and Bill Belichick may be unbending hard-asses who will abuse you emotionally every day of your life, but they at least offer the benefit of winning. In 16 years in the NFL, Tom Coughlin is 139-109 (68-60 with the Jaguars, 71-49 with the Giants) and has a Super Bowl ring. Belichick is 167-97 (36-44 with Cleveland, and 131-53 with the Patriots) and has three rings. Sparano is 26-30 and has had exactly one season above .500. It seems like it should be easier to put up with a screaming coach if you're at least winning.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I'm sure Lovie is high on the opposite list. I wonder where Ditka would rank today if he were still coaching?

I would have thought Rex Ryan would have been the worst because I think he is an asshole.

Rex Ryan comes across as too much of a player's coach, 4th. You should see his post game speeches in the locker room.
-
I am sure Mark Sanchez would like a new HC.

Rex Ryan like to put his best foot forward into anything he does as a head coach.
BTW, I am saddened that the Jets lost AGAIN to the Patriots.

Do you want to know the truth? Yes, I was. The reason was because I figured that the Jets would be able to both run and pass the ball on New England's defense since the Pats have the worst unit in the league. I thought since the Pats had struggled on offense in recent weeks, that the Jets would be able to further disrupt the Pats' offense by blitzing them into the Stone Age just like the Giants and the Steelers did.
However, I failed to take into consideration that the Jets have a shitty quarterback and, for that matter, a suspect running game. But I never expected that their defense would get humbled like it did. Now they will need help to get back into the divisional races. I think they still have a shot because the Patriots aren't the team they once were, but the Pats are going to have to lose at least a couple of more games in order for the Jets to get back into the race.
