That takes them out of the Orton sweepstakes
Orton>Clemmons

Yeah, but is neckbeard worth 2.5k as a backup to the backup for the six remaining games. I still think he's not.

Hou said they weren't interested in KO yesterday, I think this proves it. They might very well regret this, unless Lienhart has really, for the first time in his NFL career, has been working on his game. But maybe this is b/c, as the score is reporting, KO is stating he won't show up to any team other then Chicago. Which is really dumb on his part.
I said Hou would be the perfect fit for KO, strong running game and good recieving RB's, a big athletic go up and get it wr, ala Lloyd, and good pass catching TE's. It allows for a lot of 8 man boxes which lends itself to play action pass, which is KO's strong point. And they are in the weak AFC that has Jax, Indy and Tenn. Hou might live to regret this.

I'm glad Kellen is finally getting a fair shot. He was constantly stuck behind Pennington, Favre and Sanchez. The second two too high profile to bench, even when they were bringing the rest of the team down. I think if he can learn Houston's system in a few weeks, he'll be all right.

Houston Texans to try out Jake Delhomme and Jeff Garcia, source says - ESPN
Source: Texans to try out QBs
The Houston Texans are working out retired quarterback Jake Delhomme and veteran Jeff Garcia on Tuesday following the season-ending injury to Matt Leinart, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Delhomme is deciding whether the Houston opportunity is tempting enough to come back to the NFL, the source said. The source said the Texans intend to sign one of the two quarterbacks after Tuesday's workout.
Garcia worked out for the team following starter Matt Schaub's season-ending foot injury last week but Houston decided to sign Kellen Clemens instead. Rookie T.J. Yates, a fifth-round draft pick out of North Carolina, will start Sunday's game against Atlanta (7-4). Clemens will back him up. Leinart was making his first start since 2009 in place of Schaub, who broke a bone in his right foot in the Texans' 37-9 win in Tampa Bay on Nov. 13. Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Monday that Leinart will have surgery within the next week, and Schaub is due to have surgery on Wednesday to repair a Lisfranc injury. Kubiak acknowledged that Houston would try out other quarterbacks this week and hinted the 42-year-old Favre, who retired in January after 20 seasons, could be considered. "I don't think you rule out anybody," Kubiak said when asked about Favre specifically. "There are a lot of names being mentioned. We've got to continue to work through the process. "I'm not going to rule out anybody, nor confirm anybody." Favre's agent, Bus Cook, said late Monday the Texans have not contacted him about Favre.

NFL.com news: Texans bring in Delhomme to back up new starting QB Yates
Texans bring in Delhomme to back up new starting QB Yates
Veteran quarterback Jake Delhomme signed with the Houston Texans, his agent told The Associated Press on Tuesday, shortly after a league source had confirmed the move to NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora.
Texans coach Gary Kubiak later shared his excitement about adding Delhomme, telling the Houston Chronicle that the quarterback will "fit in perfectly with what we were looking for." "He's a leader and a good person," Kubiak said. "He's played in big games. He's got West Coast (offense) verbiage in his background. He was so upbeat about coming here. He showed good arm strength. "I was impressed. He's just a very impressive guy." The Texans are dangerously thin at quarterback in the wake of season-ending injuries to Matt Schaub (foot) and Matt Leinart (collarbone). Delhomme will back up rookie T.J. Yates, a fifth-round draft pick who will start Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, and the Texans also have veteran Kellen Clemens, who signed with the team last week. Rick Smith, Delhomme's agent, didn't know if his client would be No. 2 or No. 3 on Houston's depth chart this week. But Smith said Delhomme would only consider playing for a handful of teams if he ever came back, and the Texans were one of them.
"Gary runs a very quarterback-friendly system," said Smith, who also represents former Texans quarterback Sage Rosenfels. "It's a great offensive system, and quarterbacks, they love it."
Smith also said Delhomme, who beat out 41-year-old Jeff Garcia in a Tuesday tryout, has been staying in shape and working with racehorses in Louisiana since the Cleveland Browns cut him in July. Delhomme has thrown for 20,764 yards with 125 touchdowns with 101 interceptions in 10 NFL seasons. He started four games for the Browns last year before giving way to then-rookie quarterback Colt McCoy.
