Had we allowed Rodgers to stay in games instead of pulling him we could have easily gotten him the TD, yardage and QB rating records too.
As a fellow cheesehead, I have to ask... don't you find it just a bit ironic that you call out Brees for "stat whoring" when our team is associated with the biggest stat whore in NFL history?

There's nothing ironic about it. I'd say the exact same thing if we were doing it.

I'd take that blatant Stat whoring O anytime for the Chicago Bears. The Saints disected a really good D yesterday, and it wasn't close to a perfect game w/the turn overs. If they think you can keep up w/them scoring they just pound you w/their running game too. Their O forces you to throw the ball; which is playing into the strength of their D. It's beautifull. That team will not be an easy out in the playoffs, and is going to be solid for years to come.

A really good D? Matt Flynn threw for almost 500 yards and 6 tds against that "really good D". Receivers are always open against them. I said before the season started that they didn't do shyt to fix their defensive backfield and it was massively exposed multiple times this season. It's not hard to look good on offense when no one is covering you and you do nothing but bomb it out there to wide open receivers.

Careful pal. A Packer fan besmirching the Lions defense???? If the Packers couldn't outscore everybody they'd be struggling to make the playoffs. The matchup I want in the NFCC Game is the Saints vs Packers. I want to see those two offenses stand toe to toe with one another. The Giants defense may not be that easy a hurdle to clear though.

I've yet to label our defense as "really good", so you have no ground to stand on in this post. Although we've been bad to horrible this season on defense (mostly due to an extreme lack of pass rush from anyone other than CM3) we do lead the league in turnovers so we at least have that going for us. More touches for Rodgers is extremely bad for the opposing team. I have no doubt we can stand toe to toe with the Saints offense and beat them at their own game.

My point was not that you ever labeled the Packers defense as really good as much as it was that you labled the Lions defense as really bad. I'll give you the turnovers and the benefits that go with them but I still stand by what I said. The Packers win games by outscoring the opposition not by preventing the other team from scoring. You all give up a lot of points so knocking the Lions is a little like "hello pot, meet kettle" to me. Just sayin'.

I'll actually be pulling for the Packers. I'll back the NFCN in all of this because I have no axe to grind there at all. There's no lock on the NFCC Game for either the Packers or the Saints. Both of you have worthy opponents in the second round but if it does come down to Packers vs Saints that will be one of the better games of the post season IMHO.

All teams win games by outscoring their opposition. The team with the higher score at the end of the game wins, no? So our defense being bad means I can't say another team's defense is bad? Perfectly logical.

Whatever. I should have learned by now that a Packer fan can't even take any mild criticism without trying to twist it around somehow. I think my point was that you're criticizing the Lions defense is pretty much the same as my criticizing someone else's offensive line.

Your post scoffs at their defense because Matt Flynn picked them apart yet teams have been picking the Packer defense apart lately as well. I guess my point that's a bit like the pot calling the kettle black is lost in the translation. So it's nevermind. Of course you have that right just as I have the right to remind you that the Packers defense isn't a whole lot better if at all.

And you can take that patronizing first sentence and your sarcasm and shove it up your ass too!

    I take criticism just fine.

You're right it is just like you criticizing someone else's offensive line; it's nothing more than an opinion. The state of the Bears offensive line has no bearing on your opinion of another team's offensive line. You know a shitty offensive line when you see it just like I know a shitty pass defense when I see it.

I made no comparison to their defense vs ours, just the fact that their pass defense has been horrid for quite a few seasons now and they did squat to improve it which bit them in the ass this season. Teams picked our defense apart all season but unlike the Lions isn't wasn't really an issue last season since we actually had a pass rush.

Sorry if I took your post wrong, I just despise the "your xxy sucks, therefore your opinion of someone else's xxy is invalid/what would you know about xxy" attitude I've seen from some people.
