Maybe It's A Good Thing We Didn't Sign Sidney Rice................

Sidney Rice had surgery on both shoulders

Seahawks WR has some rehab ahead of him Brad Biggs

News of surgery for Sidney Rice came as a bit of a surprise at the end of his first season with the Seattle Seahawks.

That’s because after an early-season shoulder issue, it didn’t present itself as much of an issue the rest of the way. Rice had a knee that troubled him and wound up missing time at the end of the season with a concussion.

Now this: Tom Pelissero of 1500 ESPN in the Twin Cities reports that Rice had surgery on both shoulders following the season, not just the one with a torn labrum. So, Rice will have to rehabilitate both shoulders this offseason as he looks to bounce back from a disappointing first season following his big free-agent splash.

Otherwise, a risky signing by the Seahawks will soon look like a poor and expensive choice.

Maybe we should sticky this for reference the next time someone gets pissed about the Bears drafting injured players. Looks like we dodged a bullet on this one. RWill caught more balls than Rice did last season and cost far less.

RWill probably dropped more passes than Rice caught.

Luckily, the WR from this offseason's free agent class are not as injury prone as Sidney Rice was/is/whatever I am supposed to put here.
