Seattle submits initial paperwork to host Super Bowl
The Seattle Seahawks have submitted paperwork to the NFL to host a future Super Bowl, Fox News in Seattle reported Monday. The NFL has various requirements for potential host cities. The most difficult one for Seattle to meet might be the weather. For outdoor venues such as the Seahawks' CenturyLink Field, an average temperature of 50 degrees in February is required. According to the television station, the temperature in February averages 44 degrees in Seattle. However, the league could waive the weather requirement, as it's doing for the 2014 Super Bowl in New Jersey.
Host cities have been picked through the 2015 Super Bowl. NFL owners are expected to vote on the 2016 Super Bowl site in October. That year will mark the 50th anniversary of the game.
Seattle would be a perfect place to host a Superbowl game. QWest Field is the best stadium in the NFL imo. Last Super Bowl Sunday the temp was 62.
