Chris Harris Resorts to Twitter to Find Team

I respected this guy when he was on our squad and then for some reason he blocked our site's handle on Twitter and now he's on his way out of the league. It's simple Chris unblock @dabearscom and you get a team.

I really liked Harris when he was here, but it is apparent that his best days are behind him.

Yeah and what must be tough is how quickly it escalated for him, from being captain worthy to not dressing in a HORRIBLE Lions secondary.

    UPDATED 03/13/12 8:41 a.m.
CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. (CBS) — Former Chicago Bear Chris Harris is issuing a big donation, after seeing a tweet about a family in need of an elevator lift for their quadruplets who all suffer from cerebral palsy.
Harris, a safety who played for the Bears during the 2005-2006 and 2010-2011 seasons, plans to donate $10,000 to assist the Lukas family of Crystal Lake. Harris, now of the Detroit Lions, found out about the Lukas family’s story through a CBS Chicago tweet.
“I was scrolling through Twitter as I did every morning. I don’t know what made me stop. I just saw the link on Twitter – CBS Chicago,” Harris said.
Harris decided to donate the full $10,000.

Cami and Dan Lukas’ 15-year-old quadruplets were all born with cerebral palsy, and have varying degrees of disabilities. Three of the siblings are confined to wheelchairs.

Cami Lukas says their house is specially equipped for the children’s needs, but lacks an elevator lift.
“There have been times where we’ve heard tornado sirens, and I’ve had to carry them down to the basement,” Lukas said, ‘and it’s a killer by the last one.”
The Lukases said they needed $10,000 to install an elevator lift in their house.
“God has blessed me with so much, so there is no reason for me to be stingy, and when I saw that, it was something that just touched my heart, so I felt it was the right thing to do,” Harris said.
The Keep on Keeping On Foundation, which helps people with disabilities, is still holding its fundraiser Tuesday night at the Highland Park Theatre, 445 Central Ave. Tuesday night to raise $10,000 to install an elevator lift in the Lukas home.
Harris plans to make an appearance by video at the fundraiser
