DeMeco Ryans to Eagles
per Glazer: Eagles finally getting that LB they've been searching for as they have agreed to a trade w Houston for pro bowl LB DeMeco Ryans
per Canfora: Eagles announce they acquire Ryans for a 4th round pick and the clubs also swap 3rd rounders #freeagency
Disagree. I think Houston got . . . not necessarily hosed, per se (DO think Miami got a little bit better of a deal), but definitely didn't get what he's actually worth. For a long time it was him and Mario (and Dunta Robinson for a wee bit) 'holding down the fort', if you will, and now that they've got a few new guys it's like they're clearing out the only links they have left to the old Houston D. They kinda got burned - a lot - but having 2 impact guys, 1 decent guy, and then a whole bunch of nothings will only get you so far (Bears' offense, anyone?). I understand it's a new regime and new blood and all that, but I think he was the best defensive player they had after Williams. We'll see how it goes, but I can't see anybody they replace him with being better for the team.

I'd say he's their third best after Mario. To me it was MWill > Cushing > Ryans
