Deal is final and went through apparently Denver was seeking reparations of 5 million plus for the team that took Tebow. This is the reason the Jags bowed out and why the Jets may have balked. I didn't see the official final deal but I heard it was Tebow and Denver's 7th pick for the Jets 4th and 6th.

Well, that was interesting.
The Tim Tebow era in New York lasted approximately three hours. Then it was taken away, only to return in what was a rollercoaster Wednesday for the Jets, Denver Broncos and Tebow himself.
That's how long it took for the Jets to agree to a trade, then back out after not realizing they would owe Denver an additional $5 million. Eventually, both sides met halfway and the Jets will pay half that amount ($2.5 million) to Denver, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Blame this one on the Jets. New York's front office failed to read the fine print and missed the huge clause. But I don't blame the Jets for backtracking and doing everything they could to void the move.
I liked the trade for Tebow and a seventh rounder in exchange for a fourth and sixth rounder. I like it moderately less now that the Jets also had to cough up an additional $2.5 million to make the trade go through. But if Tebow plays his role well next season as the Jets' Wildcat option and backup quarterback behind Mark Sanchez, people will probably forget about the extra cash.
Reportedly, Tebow had a say in where he could go. He chose the Jets over the Jacksonville Jaguars. That is interesting because Jacksonville is Tebow country and he would've had a better chance at winning the starting job for the Jaguars.

And here I thought the Broncos had made the mistake. There must be a cooling off period making it possible for either party to squash the deal. At least it has been resolved. Not sure how it's going to work out having Sanchez mentor Tebow.
I think tebow chose the Jets, as he knew that even if he did poorly there he could always return home to the Jaguars with arms wide open.

Jets showing how to destroy a young qb in 2 years. Sanchez the best qb out there; no. But he did help that team get to 2 AFC championship games, why give up on him? It takes time to develop young qb's; Eli and Big Ben were not world beaters early on, but they showed enough to allow the team to keep them around years afterwards. Hell Eli was on the hotseat AFTER winning a SB; and now has 2.
Sanchez now has zero chance of fully developing as a starter for the J-E-T-S, jetsjetsjets. As much as I'm on Forte's side on the Bears issue; talk about a team disrespecting a player.
Sanchez destroyed Sanchez, not the Jets.
