Dallas Cowboys Dez Bryant's mom: "He tried to kill me!"

When news of Dez Bryant's arrest on a misdemeanor domestic abuse charge broke Monday night, one TV station quoted Bryant as saying, “I'm good, I'm good,” when he was reached on the phone.
News emerged Tuesday morning that Bryant had some kind of pushing incident with his mother, but the latest report is darker than what was originally thought.
According to the Fort Worth Star Telegram, Bryant's mother could be heard on the 911 call telling somebody else in the room that her son “tried to kill me.”
Angela D. Bryant told police, via the Star Telegram, that theCowboys receiver “hit her across the face with a ball cap, pulled her hair, tore her shirt and bra, and repeatedly struck her hands and wrists when she tried to push him away.”
The 37-year-old Angela Bryant then reportedly told somebody in the room, “Babe, I can't keep letting him do this. ... I can't let him do me like this. I'm tired. I'm going to put an end to it today.”
Police didn't immediately arrest Dez Bryant on Saturday because there was no evidence of an assault, but two days later, after police issued a warrant for his arrest, he turned himself in before immediately posting bond. Angela Bryant told the 911 operator after the incident that nobody had been drinking or using drugs. When the operator asked if anybody was armed, she said, “Not yet,” but noted that her son tried to hit her with a ball.
According to the police report, Angela Bryant complained of pain in her wrists, hands, arms and chest. She apparently had swelling around her wrists and left thumb and bruising on her upper arms.
“It's pretty straightforward,” DeSoto, Tx., police captain Ron Smith said during a Tuesday news conference. “He and his mom got in an argument. It's physical. She got some injuries. We made the arrest …
“Whatever led to it is really not an issue for us. We have an injured person. We have a suspect. We're going to move forward.”
The domestic violence charge is a Class A misdemeanor that could result in a fine of up to $4,000 and a year in jail.

Um, if he is found guilty, nevermind what i said about picking him up. Marshall may have his moments but (if proven true) this guy is a monster who shouldn't be payed by the NFL anymore...

Dude fell b/c of his poor decisions and off the field issues; this is just a gross example of it. That being said, mommy got a drug addict, wonder how much of this was real and how much is an over exageration? I'm gonna pass judgement after all the facts are out. Saidly, even if he's suspended, I doubt this sets the Cowboys back. He was really their third WR and 4th option anyways.

That's all it takes. He didn't even have to be the one to have caused them. If there's any sign of injury they arrest the accused and let the courts sort it out. Been there, done that, and thank you very much O.J. Simpson you ahole.

It was Simpson's record for avoiding DV arrests that lead to these changes in the statutes after Nicole Brown's murder. Cops no longer have any choice. No explantion, no mitigating circumstances, no celebrity get off the hook cards. Man or woman if you cause an injury or it even appears that you have you're gonna be arrested for domestic violence or assault.

Like Ric says I'll wait for the details and all to come out put I'm way past not believing that these fools do this stuff. They have life in a rose garden and they go lookin' for a jug of "Roundup".

I'm trying not to be judgemental here but what we had here in this incident is probably a "ghetto fight." I've seen a lot fo them. People say crazy things during these altercations. It can be made to look worse than it is. Given from what I've heard Bryant say publicly so far in his NFL car...I suspect he is pretty ghetto himself. Not saying that makes him a bad person or less than any other human being...just saying that there's a whole other culture amongst ghetto people and how they handle business.

Yeah, I'd agree. It's that "how they handle business thing that's disturbing.

About a month or so ago in broad daylight two guys walk up to a crowd standing around outside of a few shops in a small business district in one of the "you don't go there after dark" areas of Denver.

They pull out guns and shoot two young guys dead and seriously wound another. Gang related shit and the guys who got capped weren't even gang bangers. Just guys who resisted them. So a couple of non-gang banger young men are dead and the shooters are 20 or 21 year olds who will spend the rest of their lives in prison if they don't get a death penalty.

Where's the sense in all of that. Who ordered that "hit" and why would anyone be stupid enough to carry it out in broad daylight and get caught? That's brains on drugs I guess.

Smith, DeSoto's public information officer, said the police department has concluded its investigation and has opted to move forward with the charges.
"We're done with our work," Smith said. "We'll file with the district attorney's office and they'll take it from there."
Bryant, 23, faces up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $4,000. He is also subject to a fine or suspension under the NFL's personal conduct policy. An NFL spokesman said the league will review the incident as appropriate.
Royce West, Bryant's attorney, did not immediately return a message requesting comment Friday.

    D'oh!.

Bet Big D wishes they had resigned Laurent Robinson now. Jax overpaid for him; but now it's quite likely the 'Boys will need another one....wonder if they resign TO HAHAHAHAHA!

That Bryant is such a whack job. As the Cowboys need to cut him. As he has done nothing but been trouble for them. On and off the field.
