America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards." - Claire Wolfe

LOL, the past is the past. Or would you rather look at the fact that the Bears still lead in the series from inception hmmmmm???? We can't be selective and just consider those years where the Pack swept without looking at those where they didn't.
Anyhooo.........
I haven't been looking forward to these matchups for several years now knowing the Pack had an pretty big edge but this year they're just so damn close on paper than it's actually exciting again.

For the first time in several years I'm gonna enjoy the Packer vs Bears games this time paying strict attention to how you guys are gonna cope with us now that we actually have a passing attack that may well rival yours.
No more 3 yards and a cloud of dust only then let the defense and special teams try to win it. You gotta admit that offense of the Bears took a giant step forward this offseason as far as upping it's danger level. All that's left to give much criticism to is the line and by around the 4th or 5th game I don't think they'll be taking as much as heat as they have in the past either.
It isn't that I believe the Bears leapfrogged the Pack but if we didn't draw even then I must be woefully underestimating just how much better the Packs defense got over the winter. There are some key additions I admit but are they any better than those the Bears made?
We both added pass rushers. The Pack added Worthy but the Bears already took care of some issues at DT last year by drafting Paea and by having Melton step up his game. The Bears Safeties are young but talented and we added some vet depth at CB and LB. If anything the Bears defense is no worse off personnel wise than last year and if the offense can finally keep them off the field a little more often I'd expect some better play.
I don't ever make predictions but I'd bet 10,000 Bear Bucks the Pack won't go 15-1 this year and the Bears will win at least 11 games and the two will be clawing for the NFNC title up until the very end. I just think they're that close to one another as far as their respective ability to win the NFC Championship is concerned.
Oh and Loki, I just had to borrow your sig line for a while. To much truth there to be ignored brother. We can keep the safety engaged but it's time to lock and load, LOL.

They're wearing white hats brother. Besides how do we have any decent smack talk if we don't have any adversaries to smack with? If we can get one half way decent "Kitties" fan to add to Loki, Evernight, and Jokr we've got the NFCN covered!
I'm a happy camper just as long as we don't have to put up with Eagles and Jets fans. Those boys are fools.

I'm a jets fan waiting to get rid of the stench of the mangini/favre/sanchez/ryan years. Ugh, chad come back as at least a coach!!
It's a "what have you done for me lately" world, so only last season counts.![]()
It's impossible to say how close we are, even on paper. Your oline is still questionble and as long as Hester is labeled as anything other than a kick/punt returner I'll always /facepalm. Our run game (not that we actually need it) is still looking to be non-existant. We both have rather questionable defenses as well with yours beginning to show its age and ours.......not..........showing......anything? Either way, we're both an injured QB away from 8-8 or worse (granted that could be said about most teams in the league).
