The anomaly with having a couple of packer and viking fans on here stems from the off-season. There's bound to be one or two people who are capable of just more than drooling. It's rare, but it happens. And so they gravitate here.

Not true though. The Packers guys like Evernight and Loki (possessor of the infamous Ban Hammer which I'm sure he stole from his brother Thor) and and purplejokr who is a Vikes fan really know their football and they keep us from becoming blind "homeristic" fools.
We never asked them to, and it doesn't work with everyone, but I believe they thought it was their mission to do so and keep us humble. They're good at it so we like to keep them hanging around. (I think they also own 10% of the stock in this place. Minority shareholders yeah but whatta ya' gonna do?)
Lions fans on the other hand know nothing, will believe in anything, can best be detected by their use of five word sentences containing at least three four letter words and the belief that they'll actually be in the NFCN hunt this year. (How's that for a little pre-smack just in case one shows up)
They also drool a lot more than Evernight does. He can get by with just a napkin tucked under his chin. The Lions Fans need drool buckets which need to be emptied hourly. (When they show up we usually as them to sit in the Cubs Fans section so they can talk about "wait til next next year" together)

I think that we've failed miserably at this more often than not. However, to be surprised there are homers on a team board is like being surprised a fat kid enjoys cake. To be truthful, the rampant homerism can keep me away from not just this board but Viking & Laker boards as well. To be clear, homers are EVERYWHERE in sports and often they come together on team boards. It isn't just a Chicago thing or a Bear thing. Homers are everywhere and they annoy me to no end.
