Jesus christ! All the reports I read made it sound minor like she just had a tiny cut on her head or something. The way that looks, there's no way Chad just "bumped her head accidentally" while they were in the car. Hopefully he just put the last nail in his annoying coffin of a career. I think most fans were able to at least semi-respect the guy despite his antics before, but he just opened a whole new door after this incident.

I hope she settles for half of his gold teeth

Is that Lozada in the pic? ouch!
To be fair though, he alleges she headbutted him. Its quite possible that if she did then she could have received those injuries from the attack. I've seen people get headbutted before and if you dont catch it right (i.e. forehead to nose) then the attacked can easily come off worse than the victim
Now I'm not saying this is necessarily what happened but she seems a very volatile character to say the least and either way, with them both giving conflicting stories I find it absolutley disgraceful that Chad got released by the Dolphins until the truth comes to light (or is decided in a court of law). Men can just as easily be victims of domestic abuse as women, this is the 21st century after all.
Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?! I thought that was one of the cornerstones of US law!?

In all likelihood he was going to be released regardless of anything he did off the field. He showed nothing during his brief stint on the team. Dropped passes, failure to learn the playbook. The headbutt incident just made their decision to move on that much easier.

I thought they he was number one on their depth chart? I'd heard he was looking crisp on his routes and generally decent?
I'm sure i'm not imagining the depth chart thing anyway

Time for a Bump:
Arrest warrant issued for Chad Johnson FORT LAUDERDALE (AP) — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson in South Florida. The state attorney's office confirmed Thursday that a Broward circuit judge issued a warrant May 7 against Johnson for failing to report to his probation officer. Johnson received a year of probation last September after pleading no contest to a domestic violence charge involving his former wife, reality TV star Evelyn Lozada. The six-time Pro Bowl player was arrested in August after Lozada said he head-butted her during an argument. She quickly filed for divorce, which was finalized days before his conviction. They had only been married since July 4. Johnson was cut by the Miami Dolphins shortly afterward. He previously played for the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots. Lozada is on the Basketball Wives TV show. Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
