Tarvaris Jackson restructures contract to complete Bills trade
The Buffalo Bills and Tarvaris Jackson have reached an agreement on restructuring the final year of his contract, which will allow Buffalo and Seattle to move forward and finalize the trade sending Jackson east, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. NFL.com and NFL Network's Michael Lombardi and Ian Rapoport reported Sunday the Bills had made a move to acquire the veteran quarterback from the Seahawks. Jackson was set to make $4 million in 2012, as part of a two-year deal he signed in 2011. He agreed to a paycut to facilitate the trade. Jackson can make up to $3 million this year as part of the restructure. Jackson started 14 games for the Seahawks last season, but Seattle brought in free agent Matt Flynn and drafted Russell Wilson in the third-round of the 2012 NFL Draft to compete for the starting role. Coach Pete Carroll named Wilson the Seahawks starter after Jackson's trade to the Bills had been reported.
This spells doom for Vince Young. ^^

Vince Young's last, best chance for NFL success may prove to just be his last chance. NFL.com and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Young has been released by the Buffalo Bills, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Young wrote a somewhat cryptic tweet Monday morning that indicated his release.
"I want to thank the Bills organization for the opportunity and wish the organization and my teammates good luck this season".
Young was in position to be the team's backup, but his struggles throughout the preseason sealed his fate. VY completed less than half of his 26 passes for only 103 yards and two picks on Saturday against the Steelers. The team agreed to acquire Tarvaris Jackson shortly after that. SI.com's Peter King reported that the Bills only had to give up a seventh-round draft pick that could upgrade to the sixth round for Jackson. The fact that Buffalo had to send a draft pick away to replace Young says a lot, though. When Young signed in Buffalo, we said that he should be a good fit for Chan Gailey's offense. Gailey has done a great job creatively maximizing production with mobile quarterbacks in the past. If Young couldn't make it in Buffalo, he probably won't make it anywhere. As the last remaining member on the Vince Young bandwagon, even I have to admit that the ride is probably over.
Jason Campbell will probably sign a contract elsewhere next season and there's no guarantee that Matt Blanchard will still be a Bear in 2013. Would you take a look at VY or is he really done in the NFL?
I never thought he was any good in the NFL but the media seemed to suck his dick so much when talking about him. He can't throw with a shit and his TD/INT rating is not that good. Even crappy bears qbs have a better career that he has had.
