Six days after the Chicago Bears cut ties with him, Chris Williams has found a new team.
The former first-round draft pick has signed a contract with the St. Louis Rams and will be hitting the road right away. Williams is expected to travel with the team to London on Monday night as the Rams will play New England in London on Sunday, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Williams takes the place of guard Quinn Ojinnaka, who was released. According to the report, Ojinnaka is considering retirement to enter the world of professional wrestling.
The Rams have been shuffling their linemen for much of the season. Williams, the 14th overall pick from Vanderbilt in 2008, took his time picking a new club. He made confirmed visits last week to the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals and reportedly also checked out the San Diego Chargers.

Good. I'm glad he found a new team.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Good luck Chris! I'm glad that he didn't sign with one of the best teams... I could imagine they would have turned him into a really good player and laugh at us. I'm okay with Rams turning him into a good player and laugh at us.
