    How fickle the NFL is

Neither are elite qb's; Alex struggled and was looked at as a bust, but then was given an elite D, good OL, great run game and solid WR weapons and then made a deep playoff run and it looks like they should be able to repeat; no longer is he looked at as a bust.
Sanchez had great success early making deep playoff runs w/a great D, great run game and solid WR weapons, and since is being looked at as a bust and potentially replaced by Tebow...what's missing, the run game and Defense.

Cowherd said their the same qb; a qb that can help a team win games when all the peices are around them but not elite, not brady, brees, rodgers etc etc, but good enough to get you to the playoffs and win if all the other pieces are in place.

Sanchez has been mediocre from day one, it just got greatly magnified once their talent decreased and because of the fact that he plays in NY (and the media blows ANYONE from NY (see: the Yankees)). Smith has been through 839 offensive coordinators in his time in SF and finally has some stability. Sanchez is in the lowest tier of QBs, Smith somewhere in the middle. He's too much like Cutler, he'll have really good games and then games where he just completely implodes. He's definitely helped by a good defense and a great run game though.

I wouldn't touch either of them with a 10 foot pole though.

Eh not the guy I want to bring in as my franchise guy; but you can do worse until you find your franchise guy.

Neither are likely to put a team on their shoulders very often and win; but you give them a badass D and a good to great run game and decent wr's and you'll do fine until you find their replacement.

NOT a Sanchez fan but I'm partially w/Ric he could win games. The guys confidence is shot. I thought it was funny ESPN guys were saying how it would be some sort of travesty to pull him. You would be "rebooting the franchise". LOL ok so a QB can't take a step back to help his team and himself b/c he so fragile? If he's so fragile you don't throw him to the wolves week after week w/no support.

Baseball pulls their pitchers if they lose their stuff. Being a leader means you can take flak and bounce back. Getting benched shouldn't be a career killer.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

    Restore the roar!
