If this move somehow gets Shanny fired, how soon before Cutty "demands" Bears hire him?

RGIII was injured and wearing a ginormous knee/leg brace b/c of said prev inj and was visably hobbled during the game.
Cutler was not previously injured and was visably standing on the sidelines.
double standards? not really.

I agree with how some apply a double-standard, and am assume you mean those who flamed Cutler.
The decision to pull Cutler was correct, while the decision to not pull RGIII was reckless. Especially after the roll-out in the 2nd QTR when he went down near the sideline.

Redskins win the game, I don't think this gets any press other than, will he be okay to go for the next game?
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
The only question that had to be asked - the only one - does he give them the best chance to win, hobbled, broken ribs, ingrown toenail, whatever.

The early reports are RGIII may be out for 12-14 months. I hope its not true, as he is exciting to watch. Washington Redskins Left with Tough Decision Following Injury to RGIII | Bleacher Report. IMO, they should have taken him out. He was ineffective after the first quarter, and you have got to think about his future and the future of the franchise. He is a rookie and the skins traded a ton to get him. Also, did the docs even check him out at Half time?
Media: Jay Cutler is hurt and hurting the team = Wimp/Quitter.
Media: RGIII playing until he falls over with major injury = Stupid.
Well.... which is it?

why is it that hard to see?
RGIII was injured several weeks BEFORE the game, and was visably hobbled after the fall in the 2nd qtr.
Jay Cutler was having a bad night, THEN got hurt and left and was seen STANDING on the sidelines.
It's not the same thing, it's not even close to the same thing. It's overly sensitive Cutler fans making a mountain over a molehill.

Jay Cutler was seen STANDING on the sidelines after he was pulled? SO WHAT! Just because someone can stand, doesnt mean they can plant, throw or run. It may have been my imagination, but RGiii could still stand after that 2nd quarter hit, when he should have been pulled. In fact, he was still running around the field.
If your player is hurt badly you protect them. PERIOD. The media blasted Jay and the Bears for doing exactly that, when he tore his MCL.
If you criticized Cutler for sitting down, when he was hurt and his play hurting the team, then you should applaud Shanahan/RGiii for toughing it out. Congrats! They won partial tears in the ACL+LCL, and RGiii may miss the entire 2013 season.

If you cannot see how a hobbled RGIII on the field was COMPLETLEY different then Cutler then you weren't watching those 2 play and those 2 games. It was hard to watch RGIII limp around out there and it clearly effected him his game, Cutler, while having a bad game, was NOT limping or hurting while on the field, there was no previous inj that had kept Cutler out of games prior either. It's not even close to the same situation.
Just a bunch of whiny Cutler fanboys trying to make this into some issue, shm.
