Joe Flacco is the Super Bowl MVP. Is he Elite yet?

kept his cool after the niner comeback. other QBs might have crumbled. the 3rd and short pass to Boldin was as gutsy as they come.
Congrats ravens. now go Bears!

I say tree circle for sugar. Go Bears! Simmer tide sluts.

I say Boldin was. He was the most go to and clutch. Flacco as MVP IDK but seems like a knee jerk reaction to make up for the power outage which I blame Jerry Angelo.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!

Is he elite?

Yes, he is a GOOD QB, and he has won a Superbowl, and SB MVP (just like Eli Manning). But like eli, i would not label him "elite."
I would say that elite means not only do you lead your team to SB victory, but you are also in contention or have won the LEAGUE MVP award during the season. This is what makes guys like Brady, Peyton, Brees, Rodgers "elite." Not only do they have this victory that Flacco has, but they are also throwing for records during the regular season, something Flacco will NEVER do.
Would i take Flacco on my team to start? Sure.
Would i call him elite? Nope.
I'm trying//to let go//of maybe//but maybe's just so//very interesting//Oh, what a thing.

Like I said earlier.

Elite no, but I remember a thread him vs Cutler and as it stands right now I'd trade Cutler for Flacco. Flacco can stand the playoff, can make some insane deep throws. He might not be as mobile as Cutler and those you would call "elite QB" but he doesn't really need that with the Oline he has.
-
His playoff numbers this year put him there. But one season doesn't make you "elite" in my book. If he keeps it up, sure, let's have that discussion.
-
Not elite, but in that 2nd tier, like Big Ben/Eli. He's definately better then Cutler or Rivers or Romo. I asked a friend of mine who's a Big D fan this question, could you see Romo or Cutler going into the playoffs and not throwing at least 1 interception, ecspecially at a key moment? He laughed and said no. And that is the difference, Cutler/Romo/Rivers, don't have that awareness to protect the ball. It's what seperates them from the elite and 2nd teir guys.
Flacco should have been MVP though, dude was clutch all game.

I concur. It was his team's year as were the Giants in their last two SBs.
