Nah, all the calories (carbs) in beer makes most people fat, ergo it must be for keeping people warm in the cold... For a sunny day at the beach? Maybe a WHITE WINE SPRITZER!......

Just to be a kill joy, the pyramid building Egyptians invented Beer, most likely as a way of preserving grain....

I happen to really enjoy sitting out in the cold to watch a football game. Maybe those that don't enjoy it don't know how to dress to stay warm.
