I doubt they end up w/more then 4-5 picks
Yeah packaging them and moving up is more likely and makes sense for them. Keeping Smith only pays off if something happens to Kaep, but other then that, its a waste of opportunity.
I'm trying//to let go//of maybe//but maybe's just so//very interesting//Oh, what a thing.

True, and it might well have been the reason Smith was such a trooper. They probably said, hey keep your mouth shut this year and we'll get you to a team that needs a starter; and if something bad happens to kap in the meantime you could well earn it back here.

You still have a very expensive backup QB. There are always areas to fix. I wish the Bears had the issue of too many picks

Me to, but the Bears and 9rs are in two completely different places, 49'rs are looking more like the 05 Bears and the Bears are on the verge of being outdated.

Heard if this KC deal goes through for Smith that the 49ers will be going into the draft with 15 picks (compared to just 5 for chicago)!
None of my posts on this forum have been aided by the use of deer-antler spray...

if the latest mock is correct and flucker and all the other 1st round quality OL are gone; drop back Chicago DROP BACK! get another 2-3 picks and just go BPA at 31.

SF is GOING to be trading up. I really believe if there's ANY favorable variation of the trade I submitted here (again, wasn't my idea, I just expanded on it), we HAVE to trade back, especially if the elite o-linemen are gone, like ric said. I think the 49ers would be okay with moving up in the first and second while sacrificing both 3rds; they can definitely afford it.

However if they trade for Revis that changes things right there.
