What a awesome birthday gift! I'll bet she makes that knitting thing look easy.
My uncle gave me his Bears knitted bed cover a few weeks ago. It is very similar to the one your Mother made. He said that he'll never use it and I was the only one he could think of that would like it. Thank God he doesn't remember anyone else in the family. lol
