Hey this BOARD is getting SLOW ... Like Dialup slow.

Yeah I'm not sure if you noticed but we have gone up roughly 2,000 members in about a month and a half with the official site making their changes (over 9k members now). I haven't been available to get on during games to see how slow it is being, but it is something we will look into and I will talk to Ski about for sure.

Well it's been a month and I still dont dare go near the chatroom (tried it just now on a non gameday and it locked up and closed out the whole MS screen ) Then MS says send an error report. Must have sent a dozen on gameday the past month when I tried the chatroom.

That chatroom is Kryptonite for me for some reason ... tried to get in for BEARS-Lions and was only able to make one post.

That took like five minutes so I gave up. What was wrong with the old chatroom from a few years back with all the spiffy colors?

Just got the above as of 10-25-12 , 10:16 AM PST.

ALSO : Task Manager shows this board not responding and responding back and forth.

CPU usage goes to 100% and stays there for a minute or two.

Somthing on this board is sucking energy like no tomorrow.

When the forum board loads and the shoutbox is at the top of the page, the icon to the LEFT of the 'Active users' that says 'Shoutbox' isn't clickable because it's already active. That is what you're looking at. The 'Gameday chat' icon is what we use to chat with on game day. It's to the RIGHT of the 'active users' icon and it's always available. In fact, it hasn't been pruned since the last game, so the text is still there, if you want to catch up.

And the board is painfully slow. Still beats the offish, tho.

It just occured to me we are getting lost on terminology here.

Yes I know the old site on the upper right hand side is gone (damn shame)

Now lets talk about what has been curent for the last two seasons.

It says shoutbox at the top ... lets agree on that.

Anyways thats what is not working for me. It worked last season.

This season to go anywhere near it is total destruction.

The board locks up ... end of story. Have to restart.

Was getting to be an expert at restarting it until I learned not to go there.

Lets all agree that its at the top of The BEARS forum.

We are all starting to get on the same page. BTW ... it's the top of the page after you click on Forum.

Now that thats been settled ... shoutbox, chatbox, chatroom, fuckbox, it doesnt matter.

It doesnt work like it did last season. In fact for moi it doesnt work at all. There you have it in a nutshell.

Mostly, I posted all that junk thinking maybe a lot of the newest users aren't aware we hold a live chat forum on game day.
