Mats,
I don't think we have a policy, per se, other than to try to protect folks from themselves. Certainly we don't let folks just drop in to link for their own best interests, but you are a loooooooooooong time member, and I doubt have a financial interest in getting likes. Just post a link if you wish, and we won't worry about at "platform" for this type of thing going forward. Your thread will die it's natural death and it will be over.

Would it be cool to start a thread on the ABF where members who have facebook™ pages can post links to them?
I need the 'likes' and I'm sure I'm not alone and if the board is cool with it, that would be awesome. And if we could, I gotta suggest that people who post a link have to provide a short description of what the page is about.
I'm ok with it as long as it's cool stuff, and not for every single Tom Dick and Harry's save the puppies site..
I'm more thinking, theChive.com stuff...

Okay, this is what I was thinking. If we could have the thread, members could drop a post that says (for example).
My facebook page is Classic Rock Albums and the link is: http://www.facebook.com/classicrockablums
Swing by and 'like' it, if you like it. And if you really like it, please share share it.
How's that?

I feel the need to point out I'm not making any money. This isn't a 'for profit' sort of thing. It's small, it sucks, but it's mine and I thought it would be a cool idea to allow members to do this.

I don't see a problem with adding facebook pages.
