Thread: Dabears Message Board... Rules and TOS

All public forums of this site require EVERYONE to behave in a civil, and social, manner. If what you are saying is not "12 year old sister" friendly, you can expect a progression of staff interactions that could ultimately lead to double-secret probation, or worse.

Calling someone a dick/douche isn't necessary.
Calling someone a dick/douche back isn't any more necessary.
Chasing someone around the NFL forums to trade insults isn't necessary.
Being an actual post-whore, or professional poster, isn't necessary.
Cursing beyond what you might hear in a rated PG movie isn't necessary.

And NONE of it is allowed in the public forums. For those that need it a little bit more defined... those are any areas outside of THE BAR SCENE (TBS).

TBS has it's own rules. Everyone knows what they are. That which is "minimally aggressive" in TBS is entirely over the top prohibited in the public areas. Remember where you are and DO NOT allow the aggressive nature of TBS to leak out into the public areas. I understand that this is easy to do. I've done it. You've done it. We have ALL done it. And now... we are all going to stop it.

If you dislike someone, use the "ignore user" feature rather than bitch and moan about everything they do. If you just can't handle that, let your freak-flag fly in the bar scene and NOT anywhere else. And if you can't handle having the truth, or a facsimile thereof, laid around your neck - stay out of the bar scene. At no time will what occurs in TBS be drug out into the public areas. EVER.

If your behavior is annoying to more than a couple individuals (and you know it), "man up" and act like a rational person. Most people will modify their behavior so as to be acceptable to everyone, even if that means they have to compromise and sacrifice a teeny bit of what they want.

Avoid passive-aggressive behavior, cause that's entirely transparent. You can't ACTUALLY dislike EVERY post someone makes. What you trying to do is quite obvious. QUIT IT.

This is a board full of adults. We have, count 'em, a grand total of ZERO regular users below the age of consent. NONE. ZIP. NADA. And we spend entirely too damn much time trying to coax people into getting along. You are all adults. Time for everyone to act like it (in the public areas).
