I don't track the exact date but he's pretty close. The dates most likely are from the merge of DaBearz.com.

Dabearz started in 2004. I know DBS was a couple of years after.

I'm exact, I keep track of this stuff for nostalgia, stay tuned I'll post the merge anniversary when it comes up.

I've been on here since about 2006ish (the old site), despite what my member info says (I had to re-register after the merger) and it's been great fun being on here. Despite being more of a lurker until recently I value the site and it has a great amount of decent posters. I post on a few different sites (e.g. for my soccer club Leeds United, and various other interests) and I love how dabears is a pretty civilised place. I've been made welcome and I get a lot from this site. Living in London and then Singapore means Bears news is sometimes hard to get and this site is much needed, especially seeing as the standard of article on NFL.COM has deteriorated to the point where it seems to be written exclusively BY morons FOR morons with barely intelligible articles, slang and just pure gossip and nonsense.

Keep up the good work and here's to a long and successful future for the baord. Good on you gents!

Probably joined DaBearz.com in 2006 because I joined DBZ in 2004 and with the merger was wonky it kept some user's post counts/join dates, and others it kept their new registration. Regardless the anniversary date is when Ski and I put vBulletin on DaBears.com and I started tweaking the graphics and layout. Members came about a month later when we started talking about it on DBZ.

So DBS is the bastard stepchild of DBZ, and we are celebrating its birthday? Awkward...
