*Moderators I apologize if there is already a thread on this subject. Please merge/delete if needed.

Alot of the so-called experts are predicting somewhere between 7-9 and 10-6 for the 2013 Bears. I'm going out on a limb and predicting a 13-3 season for the Bears this year. The defense is mostly intact and one could argue that LB has been improved when comparing players acquired/drafted vs departing players at the position. If we can get any offensive improvement at all (and I think we'll see a vastly improved offense) to go along with our defense, I honestly think it'll be a special year for our Bears:

    9/8 Bengals W
    9/15 Vikings W
    9/22 @Steelers W
    9/29 @Lions L
    10/6 Saints W
    10/10 Giants L
    10/20 @Redskins W
    11/4 @Packers L
    11/10 Lions W
    11/17 Ravens W
    11/24 @Rams W
    12/1 @Vikings W
    12/9 Cowboys W
    12/15 @Browns W
    12/22 @Eagles W
    12/29 Packers W

How about you? What's your prediction for wins and losses this year?__________________

    2 things:

You're never going to be able to see a month into the future with football

Week 1 is almost always an aberration.

With that said, I'll say 10 wins. Just playing it conservatively.

11-5 or 12-4.....the only games I worry about are the Packers games, the Giants game and the Saints game.

The Saints had the worst defense OF ALL TIME last year. Sean Payton may be a good coach, but he's not gonna fix that in one offseason. Granted, our offense isn't a known commodity yet, but if it plays half as well as we expect it to, the Saints game is very winnable.

The Giants have a few injuries, and lost a few players, their defense (on paper) looks worse than last year. I'll be my life on the line that their defense isn't going to look even half as good against the Bears this time around.

What you can't predict are the good/bad games. All teams go through it, sometimes you play bad and win. Sometimes you just come out on fire and it doesn't matter how good your opponent is because during that one stretch or game you won't be denied. Throw in some random bounces, and bad calls... and well it sounds like a round of golf. I know what I should score and what score I want to beat but until the last putt is made I can't be too hard on myself and get upset with the outcome because of expectations.

We all already knew this, but I just wanted to point it out again because predictions used to really really bug me (in golf, HELL FIRE!), now I just sit back and enjoy the opportunities. If I hook my drive out of bounds and end up taking a boogie, it should still be thought of as a victory even though I fell short. (Keeping this outlook, remains a work in progress...)

Anyways, I can't get myself to get too serious about these predictions. I'm not going to look up the odds in Vegas or break down any match ups seriously. You can see I've even picked different results on the Bengals v. Bears game between this thread and the Weekly Pick'um. I also made a little fun of myself here, because I feel like there is one or more losses coming that I didn't directly expect.

If you are looking for any in depth analysis from over in my direction, I predict you're going to be disappointed. I'm more of a Tuesday morning quarterback.
