Picks will not be until August (during the pre-season), as the roster gets finalized, but this time there will be a draft order. Also, SuperFans will be able to pick ANY Chicago Bear, past or present, non-SuperFans will be limited to players on the current (2014) Bears roster. The same rule applies as before, if someone before you has picked the player you want, then you will have to pick another. If the player you picked gets cut or placed on IR during the pre-season, you will be able to pick another. You can help support dabears.com by becoming a SuperFan here: http://www.dabears.com/threads/become-a-superfan.510/ So, to make a completely fair, yet partially challenging contest to determine Draft Order, i decided to use the ol' "count the jellybeans in the jar" method, but with a twist. Since the Draft is coming up, and to educate people on mocks and our draft picks, we are going to play "guess the combined weight of our 2014 Draft picks." To participate, simply post here with your prediction of the combined weight of all our 2014 draft picks. You can use any method you wish, you can simply post a random number, you can go over mocks and try and predict who we will pick, and add up their weights, you can try and go by position and their averages, whatever. Post your number here, and the A-a-B draft order will be determined by how close everyone is. For example, if i guess 1450, Benji guesses 1540, and Keg guesses 1425, and the actual weight is 1500, then the order would be: 1.Benji 2.Jimmors 3.Keg etc. The only rule is you can not use a number that has been used already. Each number has to be different. Also, for any ties, the person who was under will be one draft spot above the person who was over (i.e. in the previous example, if someone guessed 1495, and someone else guessed 1505, the 1495 would pick first, then the 1505). Other than that, it will go by how close you were to the actual number. And if you revise your guess, you still have to follow this rule and not pick a number that has been picked already. I will be using the official weights at NFL.com - http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/tracker So if you are looking up specific players, use the weights posted there. It will be the combined weights of all our actual picks, so if we trade up or down, we may end up with more or less picks then we do now, so who knows how many players will actually be drafted by the Bears. The Draft starts May 8th, so you can revise your picks and post up until May 7th. You can edit your post as much as you want and make changes until then, if you cant edit your post, just make a new one with your final weight guess, and i will use that (ill go by the latest posts possible). After the NFL draft is done, i will tally the guesses and post the draft order. The draft will be held during Pre-season in August. Good luck, and have fun!!
