With who England had in their group they should have made it through.

Heard a stat that American teams(N/S/C) had a MUCH higher win % then every other country, and the rest of the world had WAY more losses. I don't remember the exact #'s but it was like 13-6-3 for Amercias and like 9-13-6 for the rest of the world, or something absurd like that.

As of yesterday the exact# are American Teams, 10-2-3 vs the Rest of the World,: 9-6-16 (w-d-l)....yeah, 16 losses kinda jumps out, however, remember there at only 10 American teams vs 22 rest of the world (RofW) teams...furthermore, the RofW teams have played head to head 11 times so far...that's 11 losses/draws that must occur...in contrast, American teams have only played head to head twice....

I know but it's still rather striking. From what i'm hearing is that European teams have usually struggled in southern American tournaments, and most hypothosize it's b/c of the heat and humidity that they just aren't used to. Which makes what Germany is doing that much more impressive.

Very true, no non-South American team as ever won a "New World" World Cup...in 7 tries....

I think Germany stands a good chance of changing that though, but England is going to be lucky to even make it to the 2nd round.

Germany has a tough road....I think most believe Brazil will at least make the final....and assuming both Germany and Brazil come out of their groups as the #1, they would potentially meet in the semi-final round...Belgium, Netherlands and Italy, assuming they come out as the #1, would all be in the "not have to go through Brazil" side of the bracket...

A Germany-Brazil match-up, even in the semis, would be epic regardless of how it turns out....

Ya but Germany is the one team that could probably knock Brazil off. That team is sick.

Italy's not going anywhere maybe Belgium or the Netherlands, not Itlaly though.

I should be betting on this shit, I'd be up a ton. Called Spain going out, called Eng losing yesterday and didn't I say Italy wasn't going anywhere?

Germany could go very far, but only because they always transfrm on big tournaments, but fyi is NOT regarded as a sick team, I dont think they are very good! And England was not a favourite among Italy and Urugay, Cosa Rca is a hge suprise though.

Last night France played very well against Switzerland. But now they're among the favorites to win it all. Crazy.

US Boys playing Portugal tonight. I'm afraid Ronaldo will eat them alive, though. :/
