Thanks, I'm worried about Britton abd DLP, I think they are critical (especially with the camp Long and Mills have had)

Chris Williams also left with a hamstring injury. Not that he was starting, but he raised an eye brow after his 73 yard catch.

Thanks Ski and thanks again Mike. This was a great idea.

Yeah were a little banged up on the OL right now but so far nothing is being advertised as being serious. It's better to hold them out as a precaution now than to keep playing them hurting and have this stuff extend into the regular season. If they can play in the 3rd preseason game when the starters usually play at least one half we should be OK. If we still have problems then we can begin to worry.

DLP reported to have a grade 2 sprain of the MCL, no damage to the ACL...should be back in around 2 weeks per his own word.

That is great news about DLP. I was watching the replay of his injury and you always cringe when someone gets their leg rolled up on lie that.

Today's practice per Kyle Fishbain: Bears are in shoulder pads and shorts. Out: Chris Williams, Jordan Mills, Britton, Frey. Kyle Long is practicing, as is Tim Jennings.

I think DLP may be a little optimistic when he says two weeks but since we seem to have some adequate vet backups I'm not gonna worry too much about it. Even with Britton still out Ola can backup or start at RG or RT and we've got Gandy and Boggs at OC and Brown at LG so at least for the balance of the preseason we can compensate for DLP and maybe Mills as well. He's back in a walking boot today so maybe that surgical recovery isn't going quite as well as planned.

Kind of concerned with Mills since it seems to be lingering/coming back

They redid his MRI and found nothing wrong so they're saying it's just post surgical soreness. I assume the walking boot is just for compression to help relieve that faster. I'm more worried about Britton and his "hammy" since those can linger for quite awhile. He's the #1 swing guy on the right side and if he was healing fast I don't see them bringing in all of these vet OL guys unless it's just to have better protection for the QBs during the preseason games and that could be it too.

Nothing official yet but hammy's are hammy's and it's tough to predict how long it will bother him and how badly. I don't expect we'll see him play this week.

This reports says it's Lis Franc injury and that the Bears plan to but him on IR and allow him to rehab following his surgery. They'd like to keep him.

Chicago Bears place tight end Zach Miller on injured reserve

The injury bug has hit Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller once again. His season is over before having a chance to build off his 6 catch, 68 yard and 2 touchdown preseason opening game performance.

After Zach Miller's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles, someChicago Bears fans were expecting him to be a roster lock and provide the Bears with another big time offensive weapon.
He sure looked the part of a Joker tight end after his brief action last Friday night catching two touchdowns passes in his 21 snaps. His big game came on the heels of a very productive camp and he was finding himself running in some two tight end sets with the ones of the Bears.
Now just one week later he was informed that his 2014 season is over.
Earlier today the Bears placed him of season ending injured reserve.
The Bears have yet to officially announce the severity of his injury, but whatever early diagnosis they received was enough for them to put him on the shelf for all of 2014.

This will be the third straight season Miller will have missed due to injury. He will be a free agent after this season and he turns 30 years old this October. The Bears will be able to monitor his rehab all season long before making a determination on his 2015 employment.

Lis Franc is a ligament this guy has serious issues with his ligaments, mark it his next injury will be ACL. Just the way some people are built I would have very little trust in viability over long term with him after rehab some people are just injury prone. Doesn't mean he's not athletic just his body won't let him do what he wants.
