McCown has proven to be a capable #2 QB, exactly like I told you in the preseason, Ric. He has done everything you could ask for in a backup QB. When the bullets are flying in a regular season game, you want someone who has seen it before.

    Two thoughts:

    1) No team of Lovie's would have scored 41 points.

    2) No team of Lovie's would have given up 45.

It's a whole new way to lose.

This is football. We understand (and the coaches understand) that the team has some serious issues. No, they won't fix the team this season. Some seasons are like that, expecially when you gut the team in the off-season and have new players, coaches, schemes, playbooks, devastating injuries to key players - all the while trying to recover from the damage Jerry Angelo did to the roster. It's not unusual to see a team struggling this first season. Actually, it's amazing we are 4-3 with a winning record at this point.

I get it that you're upset. We all are. But reality is that it's going to take more than this first season for Trestman to get the team where it ultimately needs to be. We can throw a hissy fit about this, but the season "is what it is" at this point.
